Here are all the answers to your questions about ordering a Holt Farm fruit & vegetable box delivery. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please email info@gthompsons.co.uk

 

  • Where do you deliver?
  • Currently we offer free delivery to all households with a Colchester CO postcode, Braintree postcodes - CM7 and CM77 and Ipswich and South Suffolk postcodes IP1, IP2, IP3, IP4, IP5, IP7, IP9, IP10 & IP12. We hope to reach other areas soon.

  • When do you deliver?
  • We deliver on Wednesdays and Fridays. Yes - you can order for both days if you want to!

  • What’s the cut-off date for orders?
  • For delivery on Friday - Please order by 9am on Wednesday.  For delivery on Wednesday - Please order by 9am on Monday 

  • Can I order a regular box delivery?
  • Not at the moment but we're working on getting this up and running soon. 

  • Can you leave the delivery without contact?
  • Yes, we are very conscious of social distancing advice and the concerns of those self-isolating. We will leave your box and other items on your doorstep or in another safe place, if you specify when placing your order. You do not have to sign for your box or have any interaction with our delivery teams. Our delivery drivers will be wearing gloves at all times.

    As much as they would like to help, our drivers will be unable to carry your box inside for you, for obvious reasons. 

  • How safe is my delivery during the Covid 19 pandemic?
  • The safety and well-being of our staff, our suppliers, and our customers are our priority. In the general course of business, we are rigorous about food safety, traceability and assurance. Those programmes continue at all times, including now, and it is our every intention to continue our operations through this difficult time.

    Due to Covid-19 we have instituted enhanced hygiene measures. We monitor both work and personal staff travel and closely follow related government advice. We are up to date with the most recent developments and keep plans and strategy under review. We support staff who may need to remain at home or self-isolate, and require them to remain at home if they may pose any risk to other staff or to you, our customers. While we intend to continue operating providing the best service we can, we are also committed to following the advice of Public Health England and will continue monitoring the situation as it develops, diligently observing official guidelines.

  • Can I choose what fruit and vegetables go in my box?
  • No, at this time we are offering just five set boxes, large, small, just fruit, English-grown and Gourmet. The contents will change weekly with the seasons and according to market availability, but at this point we are not able to offer substitutions.

  • Can I return my box for re-use?
  • If you would like to return your box please leave it on your doorstep and we will collect it when we deliver your next order.

  • Is delivery free?
  • Yes delivery is free on all orders over £12.50 for delivery to Colchester CO postcodes and limited Ipswich postcodes - IP1, IP2, IP3, IP4, IP9 and IP12

  • How do I pay?
  • Payment will be taken automatically using the payment info you set up online.

  • How do I add to my order?
  • Browse our online farm shop. Add anything you like to your order and it will be popped in your basket at the top right of your screen. When you have finished shopping simply click on check out to complete your order and add your delivery and payment details.

  • Can I send a Holt Farm fruit and veg box delivery as a gift?
  • Absolutely, as long as we deliver to the lucky recipient’s area (ie a CO or limited IP postcodes), just enter their name and delivery address at the checkout. You can also add a note at the check out and we will add a hand-written note to go with their delivery.
